I created the original Actualpaint website in 2012- at that time the name referred in part to the fact that digital and manipulated images were becoming the norm. Now of course the landscapes of art and images, along with all other areas of our lives, have changed dramatically with the rise of AI. I think it's interesting how the name, and these concepts, have aged, and continue to.
